The Eras Tour Workout

It’s been a long time coming…

Swiftie here!

If you’re like me and saw Time’s interview with Taylor Swift, you might have noticed the section on her preparation for The Eras Tour. The Eras Tour is an athletic EVENT. 3 hours and 15 minutes of singing, dancing, changing costumes, running around backstage, working the crowd… the list goes on and on. This takes stamina. In the article, Swift mentions she sang along to her entire set list while on the treadmill, running to fast songs and jogging/ fast walking for slower songs. Now, the majority of us are not prepping for an international tour and don’t want nor have the time to be working out like Swift. But I thought I would bring the different eras to you!

I wanted to make this workout accessible for everyone. So I created three different versions.

Walk, Walk+, & Power Walk

Walk, Power Walk, & Jog

Power Walk, Jog, & Run

Using the setlist, I took each individual song and looked at bpm, energy, and Swift’s choreography to determine what kind of song it was. Some of the songs Swift plays an instrument, while some of them she’s belting her face off and strutting the whole stage. Based on all these factors, I labeled each song accordingly. But just know… if you want to walk because you NEED to belt the bridge of “illicit affairs” if is YOUR workout! Adjust all labels as you feel!

Each era in the setlist has its official length written at the end of the set. That way you don’t have to do all 2 hours and 54 minutes of songs, but instead do a 20-minute or 45-minute chunk. And just to note, the playlists provided will be the full versions of songs.

My recommendation is have FUN. There are no rules— because “it’s cool. That’s what I tell ‘em.” Pick an era and just go!
